Jessie Wimer, Principal
"I am pleased to take a moment to introduce myself to the community of St. Rose. My name is Jessie Wimer and I will be joining the team in the role of principal. I grew up in the St. Rose neighborhood and attended Madeleine School and Central Catholic High School. Since graduating from high school, I have continued my education at St. Mary’s College of California, Concordia University and Portland State University. I live just across the river, in Camas, with my husband, Rob. An extremely cute Bullmastiff puppy, Beatrix, will be joining our household later this month. In my free time I enjoy gardening, reading, and traveling the world. I am looking forward to meeting all of the students, parents, parishioners and staff of St. Rose. It is a wonderful community and I am so excited to be part of it! I look forward to meeting you soon!"

Sarah Paul, Reading Specialist
"My name is Sarah Paul and I have been a parent here at St. Rose since 2014. My son Shawn is currently in sixth grade and my son Owen is in third grade. I am thrilled to be joining St. Rose’s amazing teachers and staff next year as the new reading specialist. Most recently, I worked as a reading specialist at St. Anthony School in Tigard for five years. Prior to that, I taught first grade at St. Anthony, reading at O’Hara Catholic School, and third grade in North Carolina. For the past two years, I worked with a dyslexia specialist to create resources for teaching reading and received additional training to help understand the science behind reading. I am so excited to get back into the classroom to help support students and teachers. As a parent, I have witnessed how dedicated the teachers, staff, and administration at St. Rose are. I feel honored to join the team!"

Lauren Devereaux, Instructional Support Specialist
Hi everyone, my name is Lauren Devereaux and I am very excited to be joining the St. Rose community in the new year! I have been teaching in Catholic schools since 2008, mostly in North Portland. I grew up in the area and attended Grant High School. After that I went on to Southern Oregon University to earn my degree in Communication. I finished up my time in higher education by earning a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Concordia University in 2008.
I have always loved my career as a teacher and after enjoying a year at home with my own two kiddos, enriching their on-line learning experiences through the pandemic, I am excited to get back into the Catholic school environment. I look forward to meeting all of you and helping to support the spiritual, social, and academic growth of your children.
